Delivery, Returns & Refund Policy

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, treats and tonics cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are flammable liquids.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted such as
Books with obvious signs of use or have been opened. Returns can only be accepted with a returns number please contact shop@bertieandbellas.co.uk for further information on this.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error or any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery cannot be refunded.


Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at shop@bertieandbellas.co.uk.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged on arrival to you, please carefully examine products when you receive them and notify us immediately of defects. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at shop@bertieandbellas.co.uk and send your item to: PO BOX 740 York GB YO1 0JD.


Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: PO BOX 740 York GB YO1 0JD

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

When shipping an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Delivery of your Items from Bertie & Bella's Ltd

We aim to keep postage costs minimal and therefore have selected a variety of  delivery services to enable this, as we know this can impact your purchase. 

For small parcels and packages our main provider is Royal Mail standard UK 1st Class. You can review their terms and conditions at https://www.royalmail.com/terms-and-conditions/  Please be aware that parcels sent in this service may take between one to three (1-3) days to arrive. 

We also use the following companies;

UKMail for medium to large parcels up to 20kg. Please review their terms and conditions at https://www.ukmail.com/information/terms-conditions

Parcelforce for larger items. Please review their terms and conditions at https://www.parcelforce.com/conditions-of-carriage 

We endeavor to send out all items together, however some items may arrive separately. We will not charge you additional delivery costs if this happens. 

Our delivery fees are charged at the companies's standard UK prices and are calculated by the accumulation of the product weight in your basket. The total weight of products determines the delivery option chosen under the discretion of Bertie & Bella's. 

Fees

  • up to 1kg £3.45 Royal Mail Standard UK 1st Class
  • 1 to 2kg £5.50 Royal Mail Standard UK 1st Class
  • 2.01 to 20kg £7.00 UKMail

Please note, all deliveries must be received by 11.00am to enable us time to pick and pack your order ready for the courier provider to collect midday. If orders are received after this time they may not be sent until the following day. 

We endeavor to get your parcel to you within 72hrs Monday to Friday. We cannot determine unforeseen weather or traffic conditions and do not accept liability.

We currently do not offer a weekend delivery service, if this is something you require, please contact us by email shop@bertieandbellas.co.uk where we will discuss your requirements.

If you require next day delivery please contact us from our website page https://bertieandbellas.co.uk/pages/contact where we will be happy to assist. 

If you receive your item and it has been damaged in transit please contact us within 24 hours from our contact us page on our website   https://bertieandbellas.co.uk/pages/contact , we will contact you within 24 hours on receiving your communication and carry out a full investigation with the courier provider, this may be a timely process. We shall remain in communication with you throughout. 

 

VALIDITY

If a Court decides that any of these Conditions is not valid or is not enforceable for any purpose, this will not affect the rest of these Conditions.

YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

If you are a Consumer, there are certain terms implied into your Contract which we cannot exclude or limit. For example, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 we must supply the Services with reasonable care and skill. This is in addition to your legal rights to claim a refund, re-performance and/or compensation where the services are not in accordance with the Contract.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All rights in any materials (including software) we supply to you and in any methods of work and processes used by us in connection with the Services and the Contract are and will remain our exclusive property. Nothing in these Conditions implies any licence or other permission to use or reproduce any materials, methods or processes unless and to the extent that we expressly agree to this in writing.
